MAKR = #1 Nasdaq Natn'lMkt gainer today, excluding the 2 ipo's today and one just a day or two ago (in fact that co & MAKR are so close, I'd like to call Yahoo to ask when they record the final prices, as MAKR was ahead at one pt). Hot dman, not everyday you buy in that day and get virtually the full gain of the day! Had a lot going on earlier in the week and had trouble getting into SI. Scanned for stocks during part of the day today and over the past few hours -- we have another storm here expected to stay for a few days - wish that happened during the weekday argghhhh. The are a bunch of interesting picks out there. Rem, usually a lot of my focus is on finding the undervalued and unrecognized, rather than trading for a 1/8th 1/4, etc. And I'll play just about any stock except for BB's. I've had several persons PM me about picks etc. I am not intending to set up a site (though never say never) nor collect money. I appreciate the "good pick"/"what about..." msgs (notice the abbrvs). Heard of a co from someone who has traded professionally for at least 10 years (maybe in the right place at the right time...time will tell), you'll recognize it, that supposed to do well. It's not my pick, but does look like it could do well. I'd say it's a position trade ie, allocate only a portion of your capital to it (maybe one or two or three buys to avg in) and consider that capital tied up for a little while or sooner if it pops a lot. If interested, send a PM. In terms of responding, it takes quite a while to send individual PMs, so if you could provide an e-mail address that would simply things for me. In priority, I'll send msgs to: (1) those who have PMed in the past few weeks about interest in picks up to and including tonight (as I mentioned earlier, I did not send the co b/c I hadn't finsished doing the research, it turned out to be crap, and I don't want to give out crap picks) (2) a group e-mail to those responding after this msg (3) e-mails to those responding after this msg, but do not want to be part of a group e-mail Please indicate if you do not want to be part of a group e-mail. I'll be doing a lot more research over the weekend and likely will respond late Sun/early Mon. Despite the lousy weather, have to go out since the past few weeks have been very busy - the wine picked up in Calif makes up for the partial cold picked up in Calif. Looks like that Half Moon Bay pumpkin festival was enough to squash the shorts. Good trading to us all!
