This is one of the biggest reasons. The other big one is speed grades.

I personally don't believe so. To the best of my knowledge there will not be any reasonable volumes on 0.13 until past Christmas 2000. Which means AMD has a good year to coast. After that, it depends on how Intel executes Wilamette and how AMD executes on Athlon follow-ons.
