Hello Sonki. AOL % gain. I think the stock was about 116 when the meeting started. I bought some AOL in Oct. 98 at 118. So now I have 400 sh. on that buy. But, I paid for the first 100 so I am really only 300% richer.

I know this is funny arithmetic. <G>

Maybe this is the way they fig. it. gg.

I don't know. I bought AOL again in Nov. and Jan. and I can't complain. Even the Jan. buy has a better return than most of my stocks.

Yes. I hope my handshake will do some good.

Here is an interesting article on Greenspan. I like him most of the time but lately, I don't know. Anyhow, at this particular meeting with all those CEO's he did not want to look like he is behind the moon. So he was a bit more careful about bashing the markets.

One of the reasons that I have been cool on Greenspan lately is because I HAVE BEEN thinking back to 1987 and the crash and have always partly blamed him for that fiasco. This article echoes my worries. Also look what happened in 1929. Yes. Tightening was a big part of it. Let's not mention margins.
The article is right. Let him be FED CHAIRMAN. If he wants to be a Market timer let him quit his present job.

Oh, oh. This "senile" stuff and "open mouth" gripe on SI seems to have leaked out.

Sonki. Just found this about AOL's price rise.

Maybe you want to take this up with AOL management. gg. For a while there I thought I may have misunderstood at the meeting.

See, you just can't trust everything you read on those fancy sites. Sometimes you have to do your own work. Actually, my wife did that work. gg.

In January I bought more AOL at 150, 75 after the split, so AOL has to go to 150 before I make 100% on those shares.
