haim: "I just had a long chat with a friend who is working for a DOT.COM company, they are all hoping that the money will last until they can go public. She told me that it is known that you are not asking if the the company makes a profit based on the business plan. You raise money for a concept or idea!!" Ironically, I was just looking at such a plan (for lack of a better word). Profits? Nah, don't worry about that. Heck there weren't even any projections for ANYTHING but revenue! I must admit though, I like the "concept" enough to participate in the first round owing to the talent involved. My only concern is that the "buy any good concept at any price" will not be available by the time the VCs come in and ready it for IPO.
