pomp--

Great article -- although it could stand some proof-reading. The guy must be Russian or something --

Wow! Good guess. Here is the list of staff names:

Ilia Gavrichenkov, Pavel Sokolov, Andrew Yaschenko, Andrew Vorobjov, Nikolai Dorofeev, and Aleksey Lagounenko.

Actually, the most telling Rambus article I've read!

Anybody notice this from the article:

So, June came. But what it brought with it! AMD refused to use DR DRAM this year saying that they were going to start with PC100 and then shift over to PC133. At the same time IBM announced that they were not planning to use DR DRAM in their PCs this year as well. As a result, Intel and Rambus's stocks quickly went down. And the next day an IBM representative accused the journalists of having turned everything upside-down and in reality IBM would utilize DR DRAM at least in High-End PCs.

Turns out that most notorious episode of FUD wasn't FUD afterall. Or you could say it was counterFUD perpetrated by iNTEL.

What a saga this has been. Funny how it's starting to seem like history.
