JOHN 1:1-5 B.V. 1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. These two verses prove: 1. That God is the Perfect LOGICAL PERSONALITY ! 2. That this "word" was With God so there are at least two persons Before creation ( in the beginning )having Logical fellowship ! 3. Unless John is repeating himself the second verse refers to yet another beginning before the first mentioned beginning. This could refer to superceding the creation of the Angelic Host as well ! I think the second "beginnning" since God has no beginning is reaching all the way back into eternity. Pre-Man Pre-Angels 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. The topic is still " the word" who is with God. Here John teaches that He created the Physical World. Nothing exists outside of Him that exists physically. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 ¶ And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. =================================================================== Jesus said: John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. Jesus is the WORD. God's Holy Law and Will are LIGHT ! But we don't know this yet from these verses... =============================================================== 1 We know that in Him ( the word ) is LIFE and that LIFE IS called LIGHT. 2. That that "light" shines in " the darkness" but that Darkness is no just physical because it is - Failing to comprehend LIFE or LIGHT. Therefore there is on the one hand LIFE and LIGHT on the other DARKNESS and ?????? Hmmmm Trying to shorten my notes for you Colleen.
