and sony has confirmed that playstation II will use rambus...sony expects to sell 2,000,000 units per month...even intel acknowledged sony will be stiff competition for them. Maybe I'm the only one who sees the irony. Playstations have a granularity problem - PCs don't. So in a Rambus world, the Playstation looks better (price/performance) relative to the PC, than it would in a DDR world. Since it's unlikely that Sony would be shipping with DRDRAM without Intel's help.....
