Debris has been found in the Atlantic after a Boeing 767 with 197 passengers on board disappeared from radar screens on the way from New York to Cairo.

The Federal Aviation Administration in Washington said the EgyptAir Flight 990 vanished while flying at 33,000ft.

The U.S. Coast Guard has found a debris field in the sea about 45 miles south-southeast of Nantucket, possibly from a Boeing 767 passenger plane that disappeared from radar screens early Sunday off the coast of Massachusetts.
