jim -
why do you characterize every attempt at reasonable discussion as DELL bashing? Let's look at your comments -
Your characterization of DELL as staggering back to 40 was worthy of LT
Say what?? How many people think DELL at 40 is something to crow about? What does this have to do with LT?

it is interesting that you are pegging the necessary earnings numbers at 3 to 4 cents per share higher than the current consensus estimate.
You and several others pointed out that DELL did not revise guidance down and said nothing about missing the then-current estimate of .20 to .21 - have you changed your tune and now think DELL will miss?? I don't think they will miss, which one of us is more bearish?

I take it as an axiom in today's perception-crazed environment that a company has to beat estimates by a few pennies to "look good". Why would DELL have a hard time leaping over the bar by 2 cents? Even CPQ managed that...

What CPQ PR campaign from last year are you talking about? And what does that have to do with DELL making 2 cents over estimates?

If you now think that DELL will not meet estimates then you are the one lacking confidence, not me.
