Burt For a moment if you would, forget that we invest in competitors. Before I joined SI I lurked on several threads for about six months and I was amazed by this thread (although this stuff is pretty common over at Yahoo). At that time Engel, Yousef and some of the other intc longs would post frequently the most denigrating and humility comments...knocking the stock, the company, and the poster. In fact Engel has come up with a derogatory tag for almost every regular AMD poster. They had nearly every AMD poster completely cowed.....who, in turn, spend long hours defending everything they did. In that sense the AMD posters were as much to blame for letting things get this out of hand. Its only recently that the AMD posters have begun to respond in like kind and even then, still make efforts to be pleasant. The first time I told an intc long I was old enough to make my own investing decisions, I was blown away by his anger.....it was not unlike a parent responding to a rebuke from a child. That is why it is amazing to me that someone like you who is level headed and fair for the most part does not see it. It makes me wonder whether you are choosing not to see it because of your particular bias. As for Engel he is a Dr Heckle and Mr. Hyde....Dr Heckle on the intc thread and Mr Hyde on the AMD thread. In the past few months, I have seen time and time again the most reasonable and intelligent posters "lose it" or leave the thread. The only glimmer of hope in all of this is that recently, as in the last couple of weeks, I seen some reasonableness develop among the intc posters. As for Engel there are two sides and like i said before I find it disappointing that you acknowledge only the one. ted
