jj, My experience is way out of whack on this one, as I was rated on a calendar year and received my bonus in Feb. Since my bonus was usually more than my annual salary, I wanted Feb to be even less than 28 days. <g>

The funds are now mostly on an Oct. 31 fiscal year because computers help us do taxes more slowly. <g> However, just because the fund is on a 10/31 year does not necessarily mean the managers are. After all, most buyers look at years based upon the calendar and don't care at all about the fund's fiscal year. If I ran a fund co., I would want my manager kicking butt up until Dec. 31, not nodding off after Halloween.
