With AMD (the stock not their chips) there is never a guarantee. However, I do agree with you.

The whole tech sector was very strong, however, so the move might not be as significant as it would be otherwise. I consider its recent strength on relatively weak market days to be more significant. No one is trying to make this stock go up; there are simply buyers there when it goes down and volume shrinks indicating a lack of selling.
