I believe a lot of history has been rewritten concerning the Natives. My Grandmother settled in Alberta before it was a province. She said no one killed any indians here other than the odd murder. They were busy killing each other and actually loved it when our family settled here because they could get goods they had never had White sugar. whiskey, molasses, music boxes, mirrors. As far as stealing the land. It was more of an act of attrition here were I live.. We staked out a little piece built a house and broke some land.
Then another then another... The Native however were "Regional Nomadics"

After a while there were whites everywhere.

Many of them were killed by us whites by our diseases..they had no immunity to the Rash of germs we brought over !
