NTT Software Forms E-Commerce Venture Using Digital TV Program

NTT Software Corp., an affiliate of Nippon Telegraph and
Telephone Corp., will form a joint venture to produce a
television shopping channel with Toppan Printing Co. and Kenwood
Corp., the Nihon Keizai newspaper reported without citing
sources. The venture will be 43 percent owned by NTT Software, 43
percent by Toppan and 14 percent by Kenwood and will offer the
program via digital satellite from April 2000. Hewlett-Packard
Japan Ltd. will help the venture with computer technology, the
