OT lkj: Just do your own DD in FDRY - 80% claim of contract wins over CSCO was reported in an interview by the CEO of FDRY this past week, no claims by me whatsoever. Sorry to say IMHO but shorts will get absolutely crushed as the trend is definitely way up. FDRY could easily become a $25B company within 18-24 months - just look at JDSU. Tell me another company you can think of that reports $39M in revenues and $7.2M in net income right out of the gate in its 1st quarterly report issued this past Thursday as a public company in which sales last year were tiny in comparison. 62% growth sequentially - 120%-160%/year compounded growth over the next 2 years and extremely high growth for the foreseeable future. You sure you want to short FDRY?? There will absolutely be opportunities for 2-way trading as this is a volatile stock that can easily swing 15 points either way in a day. And this puppy could drop 30 points in a heartbeat out of sheer nonsense - market conditions - psychology, etc. But JPM just put out a buy and has a price target of $225, Robbie Stephens came out with a buy on Friday, DB Alex Brown just issued a buy, Merrill accumulate (translation - by being one of the lead underwriters we suggest you buy all you can get on dips before we raise our rating). I personally wouldn't dare think or have the nerve to short this puppy for any length of time as FDRY turns violently upward without a moment's notice. This is a real company with dramatic growth, real earnings and profits NOW & IMMEDIATELY, and a list of customers the other companies you mentioned wish they had. The other companies are not even in the same league - you know the old story - 1st to market - leading edge technology at the lowest cost (no comparison vs. competitors in this regard) - 1st to offer gigabit over copper (starting shipping in October) and 10 gigabit ethernet over copper coming within 10-12 months (no competition in either arena right now). The fiber optic companies should be watching over their shoulders with real curiosity concerning FDRY and whether the need to lay very expensive cable and install very expensive optical stuff is worth the cost vs. an easy upgrade using FDRY next generation switches and routers. Why rewire - why spend many more millions upgrading your existing copper-wired network with optics when you can get the same effect by using FDRY equipment at a ridiculously lower cost? Why is FDRY getting 300-400 new customers per quarter? Why is MSFT getting into bed with them regarding broadband strategies concerning video broadcasting? Lastly a brain trust at FDRY taken from the cream of the networking world from every major company led by a renowned switch/router engineer who has gathered 7 design wins/awards/patents in this field. I'm not going to get in the way of this growth train, but I do wish you well on your intended short position - it just makes more fuel for the fire.
