It would be more intriguing if I wasn't in NetP at a premium to its current value. The indicators on this stock all point up. It's customer base is solid (made up of some big Internet players) and growing. It's backed by big players (Balmer, et.al.). Reports on its management are good. Its numbers look good for a company this young, but still the price languishes.

It can't break 20 for any length of time.

What are we missing here? NetP doesn't seem to be clearly goofing up with Wall Street. Missing their target numbers (i.e. like Ascend used to do).

Why is the market so lukewarm on this company? It does produce relatively sophisticated software. The company can't be explained easily in a sentence or two. Is it as simple as having a product offering that is a too esoteric for the big market makers? That's all I can think of.

There was some chatter here on IS of something underhanded going so an economical buy-out could occur. That doesn't seem as likely, especially with the big backers that have substantial holdings. I passed these rumors off as angst.

It's perplexing. I can't decide whether to add to my NetP holdings and hedge against my original investment or take the hit and run to other stocks. PHTN went up 5 (22%) on Friday. It's positioned well too, relative to its market, and it is starting to reach its potential (as the FPD market grows). In my view PHTN is not nearly as well positioned as NetP, but its doing much better in the market. Go figure.

Still working to get enough cushions to build a fort that I can retire in. The pile isn't big enough yet, but sofa so good.
