Uncle Frank: I have just come back here, and just read your post. That is because in thinking about my most recent post here it seemed to me that I should copy that post to Voltaire directly for his correction or comment. I chose the Q thread on which he made his proposal.

Will report back any corrections or comments he makes there.

Many of us read both threads of course, but for those who don't I will try to keep them informed of his reaction (assuming he has one) here.

Frank, much appreciate your filling me in on your long term observation of Voltaire and his approach to investing.

Agree that he is not a GG by a long shot.

I have no intention personally of trying his approach on the Q now.

BUT I found it interesting because it seems to provide some protection or insurance in an emotional and irrational market - which we all know we have at present.

Seems like even if preservation of capital is not completely consistent with GG principles as outlined in the original book, it might be worth some discussion among the more conservative of us here. Grin.

Best
