Dan3: This is not a new marketing technique. It is like priming a pump to build up suction or demand pull as economist s would describe it. GM announces a new model not on the dealers showroom floor and invites the public to buy it. Nothing new here. JFD

Not the same Dan. AMD announced Athlon in June and you couldn't find any until around early September. Intel announced CuMine last Monday and you could buy mobile PCs almost immediately.
