Paul, regarding the personal motivational points, I couldn't agree more. But that's not the way Intel should be viewing the issue. Intel's goal should be 100 percent market penetration of PC's with 100% market upgrades.

In order to reach that level of penetration, the tech-idiots of the world need to be assisted (and motivated) wherever possible. As an industry Giant they should be influencing the entire industry toward standardizing bottlenecks such as hardrive transferring.

The concerns expressed on this board, should provide Intel enough evidence that the industry has a long way to go toward erasing these concerns. When you see relatively sophisticated users (such as the ones posting here) who have identified this as an issue which has held back their purchase. Imagine the concern tech-idiots of the world are going through?

Another point is simply time. The millions of parents out there with young toddlers (such as myself) who have two and three computers in the home, simply don't want to spend the time going through the computer upgrade transition. Why should it be so difficult when relatively easy engineering solutions are possible?

By the way, I know quite a few people, (smart successful people), who have 2 and 3 computers and they can barely spell LAN. (not literally of course) Quite a number of people simply don't want to spend their time and energy learning the latest and greatest gadgets to come out of silicon valley. They would rather go fishing or hunting in their spare time, and turn on a computer that does the work for them.

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on this issue Paul. Hey! I believe this is the first time I have disagreed with you in the all the time I have been posting here! :-)

Just call me Albert 2! :-))))))
