Penni, the coolest Halloween Birthday party I ever had was when I was about ten. The lights all went out, and we played Sardines. In case you don't know the game, it is a variant of hide-and-seek. One person hides, and whoever finds him/her has to pile into the same place. It can get pretty crowded, and you're not supposed to giggle, so as not to give your hiding place away... And, on top of that, a horde of boys showed up at the door, to "rescue" the ONE boy who had come to my party. I can't remember whether we eventually gave him up to the raiders. But I do remember putting up stiff resistance to their demands! Joan
