<Dan" has never come up with ONE concrete fact to prove any of his assertions that GUMM will become profitable anytime soon.> My estimates for GUMM are available for all to see and critique. Your notion that I haven't provided facts to back up my estimate is not only wrong, but could be extrapolated to mean that investors should ignore all analysts simply because they make predictions about a company's future. What sort of facts do you want to substantiate an estimate? Please note that this is a rhetorical question because I'm not about to reiterate all the facts that I have previously presented. I find it particularly amusing that you think people should believe your predictions about GumTech even though you haven't posted anything that substantiates your opinions. Your opinion that Zicam will fail is no more credible than anyone's opinion that it will have a significant effect on GumTech's profits. Your opinion that Zicam doesn't work is no more credible than anyone's opinion that it does. Why should I believe you over myself? LOL You have yet to address the nicotine gum market so I assume that you don't understand the effect that it could have on the company's bottom line. Oh yeah, you recommended to wait for the press release. Fine, as long as you understand that the potential return goes down as the potential uncertainty goes down. I prefer to buy ahead of that news because I'm confident that it's coming. The stock price will very likely be higher after the news is released. If I didn't think Zicam worked, I would be inclined to sell part of my position and wait for the clinical studies to be released before buying again. Instead, I added more to my position over the past two weeks because I am very confident that the clinical study will prove what I already believe . I bought more because I believe that the stock price will be much higher after the results of the study are released. <I predict that "Dan" will eventually lose most of the money he claims to have invested in GUMM.> This is a very silly statement for you to make. Not only is my personal position irrelevant to the future of the stock price, but you have no idea where I might sell if it doesn't act like I think it should. Assuming that the clinical studies are favorable, the odds of GUMM ever trading below my average purchase price (~11.75) are slim to none. BTW, the article that pz posted fails to note that Agouron hasn't published any research on their trials either, yet the author didn't have anything negative to say about their claims. Until independent studies are published, the only thing standing behind a company's claims is their credibility. I can accept that it takes a while for a company to earn the respect of people in general, but GumTech's management has already earned my respect as a result of my personal interaction with them over the last year. The article also points out "the problem is there is only Gel Tech's word to go by because there are no published independent studies that confirm his statements." This won't be an issue in a couple of weeks. Nobody has to take my word or the company's word that Zicam works. They should either use it themselves, ask people who they trust to use it, or wait for the results of the clinical study before accepting the claims of the company. Whether one invests in GUMM before that is a personal decision that one should make based their risk aversion and degree of confidence in what the clinical results will be. The investors that I know who hold large positions in the stock have all said that they used Zicam and are confident that it works. You don't have to take anyone's word for this. The stock price is moving up, presumably in part because investors who own large positions are holding, or even adding more like me.
