Well, what's to the advantage of those companies is to sell what the market wants when it wants it. Right now, Rambus is too expensive. That will surely change if the dramurai begin mass production of RDRAM, but until then, consumer and workstation PC will want the SDRAM option.

We'll see if the market decides that RDRAM is the future. I hope it is for technology's sake alone. I certainly have stated before that I want a PC with RDRAM in it, for the games I play. But will it happen? That future is not as certain as some like to make it seem.
