Gottfried, ok, you're right about the hairsplitting.

Let's look at it this way...when G-span mouths off and moves the markets, someone inevitably loses money [while others gain money], or, someone inevitably gains money [at the expense of those who lose money]. Either way, someone will gain money regardless of how G-span's remarks move the markets.

So it's obvious, I suppose, that Dines' operating assumption is invalid, as you suggested. How's that for an attempt at not splitting hairs? <g>
