Thank you, Charley, X, jp, and Constant Reader... I feel a bit bad abandoning the neighborhood tonight. It is wonderfully warm -- about 75 degrees outside -- and everyone's door is open, spooky music & strange noises waft through the air (somebody must have a loudspeaker), and I know the kids are itching to start their looting expeditions...But they will skip my house, seeing the dark, unwelcoming windows. Makes me feel like such a party pooper! Especially since I always think of Halloween as my own party. So I am being a party pooper at my own party. Dear me...
