'Accept' India, Pak as N-weapon states -National Defence University WASHINGTON, Oct 30 (PTI) The USA and the rest of the international community should recognise India and Pakistan as nuclear weapons states and drop the post-nuclear sanctions against both nations, an influential American defence think tank has urged. The nuclear tests conducted by India and Pakistan in May, 1998, resulted in "automatic and draconian" responses but "neither is a rogue state", they are important members of the international community that will not be isolated," National Defence University (NDU) has said. "Any solution that does not restore normal relations between us and these leading countries of South Asia is not practical and will not last," the university warned....... tribuneindia.com
