True, Ten. But Intel went from pushing a technology to depriving the market of choice when they started telling everyone they were going to phase out support of SDRAM. Only in the last year, when things started to get bumpy did they change tack and start announcing a new roadmap that included the possibility of SDRAM support. So Intel tried to deprive the market of choice and would have if they could have gotten away with it. But their own lousy execution wrt the Camino chipset derailed that effort. Now they deign to say we will let the market decide. No shit! Intel has no choice BUT to let the market decide. Otherwise, believe you me, they wouldn't give us that choice.

I do agree with you that the Athlon is the first real challenge I have seen to Intel. Thank God we are finally starting to see some competition. I hope they can keep up the good work.
