I watch both PBS and Baywatch, sometimes too. I like to know what is going on in our social milieu. (I think I spelled it wrong but I'm going to use it anyway.) You are Correct sir about Chase. They are the empty suits who rode deregulation down just like AT&T did. Now both Chase (with Glass-Steagall) and AT&T (with Dereg, or Re-reg, or No-Reg) need to have the rules changed because whatever they have been doing for the past 200 or 100 years doesn't make them fat and happy anymore. "Oh Gawsh we did't see it coming." Sort of like adding those dirty, volitile NASDQ stocks to the Dow because the Dow numbers stink. I think it is unbelievable that the American Public stands in line to get their own money from the ATMS and PAYS to get it! In the good old days you used to put your money in the bank and get paid for it. Remember interest? And now the Banks have the Gall to say ATM's are expensive. It costs about 1/100th for the bank to give you your money through the ATM then through a teller. Remember when Citibank tried to charge $5.00 to use a teller in the 80's and there was a customer riot? Do you know what the mark-up was on long distance all those years? Why do you think they have to practically give long distance away now. back to ISP> I started with AOL in '96 and cancelled because MOTorola and IBM told me it was the BAD BAD ISP that was giving me trouble. Consequently, I wentt through COncentric, NY Pipeline, Women's Wire, Compuserve, Prodigy, Netcom, Net Zero, and MSN. until I found out it was a Crummy Modem in a Crummy Computer. I have been using AOL again since May or June. I am amazed by their product development, depth and marketing acumen. Believe me they have their head in the game. I think I am elitist too. That's why I take swings at the big dumb babies who run Chase and AT&T. Did you ever follow the AT&T board? All they do is p-ss and Moan over regulations not going their way. And for a real treat try Chasesucks.com, it is a real hoot! Heaven help us when Glass-Steagall falls and the banks and insurance and broker guys start eating their own. Stupidest, most poorly connected guy loses!! Can you say "Reminds me of the Savings and Loan Crisis?" Watch out for that big sucking sound.. Sorry, But Ohhh.. that was good for me.
