Gottfried - You are correct and I in no way intended for that interpretation to be made. I do think though that SEG management will be under pressure simply by holding the VRTS shares. Especially if the difference in performance between the two shares continues to be so great. What this means in the long run I do not know - it could be VRTS buys back its shares; or a spin-off of software assets occurs.

Luzco has shown to be very adept at acquiring assets that increase in value, but he is not running a mutual fund company but a disk drive company. This industry downturn has been one of the longest in the history of the drive industry, but so far there really hasn't been a major casualty big enough to alleviate the overcapacity. Every drive company stock is effected while shares of companies like VRTS and EMC and ZOOX climb. I have a hard time thinking that institutional investors will continue to have patience and come to view SEG as a "mutual fund" when they can buy stocks in VRTS direct.

Just my thoughts and ramblings,

Kevin Linder
