Elizabeth, I recall that Eli Harari mentioned $300 as the price point where digital photography would really take off. This price seems like a loss leader that will entice people to buy HP's new color printer as well. 1 mpixel is not all that bad for 4x5 prints from the full frame or for viewing on a computer screen or TV. The standard card supplied with many digital cameras has been an 8 mb capacity, but with the new double density cards being announced today by SNDK, it is likely the standard will become 16 mb. I wouldn't be surprised if SNDK might have some inventory of older 16 mb cards to get rid of. Art
