Todays action was typical of a profit taking style market. Bonds retreated from key level and the players decided to put some on the books. What is very encouraging about todays action is no lows from Friday were taken out. No gaps filled. Why would that be encouraging.... because psychologically bears are a bit nervous tonight. Why did the gaps not fill, not even sniffed????? sleep tight little bear for tomorrow you will need your energy.

speaking of Bears, the world lost a great man today. Walter Payton was one of my (and I am sure many others here) heros as a youngster.
Not only was I lucky enough to be present the game he set the Chicago Bears all time rushing record but later in life I had the opportunity to meet him in person. Walter had no problem staying around for a few hours after a presentation (speaking about bringing football back to St. Louis when they were teamless) to sign one autograph after another. He not only signed the autographs but spoke one to one with each person waiting in line. Was a highlight of my life. I am sure he was quite proud of the team he had helped to bring to St. Louis, fitting they are doing so well.

Tough week on the hero front. Payne and Walter are irreplaceable individuals.
