You probably still remember the Judge asked Microsoft to also integrate
Nescape's browser into Window if Microsoft is to integrate IE. This is the first time I have ever seen a company to be forced , by the government with political power, to promote the competitor's products if it wants to execute a reasonable market strategy of its own , while the competitor still hold the majority of the market share at that time , and still had a widely opened door to distribute its products to the market ( downloaded from the Net). Such thing can only happen in the former USSR , when the power of the government is over everything. That is the reason I said it is a dangerous sign when we see the government's political power is overly expanded, to a level which is out of control by the people.

NSCP also integrate its own E-Mail software into its product which had a major market share at that time, if NSCP is allowed to integrate , then why not Microsoft ?

That is why I said , this case is not about the benefit of consumer, but to protect the competitors who had its own problem, and blame its own failure on others. And if Microsoft lost, that is the biggest irony about free market, where the government used political power to force every competitor being equal. This only happened in former communist countries. That is the reason I said the same body with different masks. One called communist, one called free market !!!

This case is not about Antitrust , but few government officials with their over expanded political power , get the competitors ( I do not know what is the purpose ) together to trash Microsoft which they hated.
