the real chance for Rambus' price this week and next (as contrasted with the chance for its technology, which will take many months to sort out) will be the realization by the smart shorts (and most are) that the jig is up. Intel, Rambus and the big OEMS are setting up a blitz for Comdex. I suspect Intel is smoothing ruffled feathers mightily and getting all ducks in a row for a massive P.R. and demo campaign. Even, as Dan3 feels, if it is not based on solid technical underpinnings, it will be more than enough to raise the Rambus name familiarity and credibility several rungs. Smart shorts will begin to exit this week so as not to get caught in a squeeze closer to the fifteenth. I need Zeev to check the turnips on a daily basis this week.
