As has been recently and powerfully demonstrated by the recent price swings which have result in SDRAM going from below production costs (as claimed) upward by a factor of 4. Just try to understand that the price of this commodity called SDRAM is priced two ways. One under long (relatively long)term and spot prices (commonly referred to as cash market). The prices for SDRAM have swung wildly while, during this time, costs have remained constant (or relatively constant). Die size, cost componets, et al have nothing to do with market price!!! You, I assume are an engineer, and I would therefore assume that you have heard of Edward Deming (sp?). Well, go ask your engineer friends about this man and study his production methods and you will see how the production lines are turned on and never turned off (figuratively). They sell the output at whatever they can get. Stop spouting your fake expertise about pricing and your pretentious manner about connecting the dots for this security's price moves. Oldtimerinvestor
