I kinda wish I were in Georgetown, running around in costume with all the college kids. I really loved dressing for Halloween. My favorite costume, which won a prize at The Chimes, a notorious Chime Street dive, that was featured* in Sex, Lies and Videotape, the only great Baton Rouge movie I am aware of, was as a hanged lady, dressed in a long dress, wearing a noose around my neck, with my face painted white and my long, loose hair powdered. My boyfriend, at the time, was dressed as Death from The Seventh Seal, complete with a real scythe (he collected farm implements). We really cut a wide swath (*cough*) dancing together, my rope swirling, his scythe swaying, we were a swinging couple.

*The Chimes was in Sex, Lies and Videotape, not me, nor my costume.
