RE:jhg-I do not know nearly as much as those people you mentioned from a purely technical viewpoint-but that is not what makes you the money -what does is what I do know and have voted my own dollars to prove it to myself and my clients who unbelievable 5 year average gains. I live well because of helping others get rich!t-It does matter one hell of a lot how much stock you own and how long and what your record is,earned not balooney that is how the world works.RHIP

I tend to agree with your observation of Dell and the posts on this thread. I have felt the same way for several months now. No amount of good news moves the stock, and there really hasn't been that much bad news. I told myself that we're just in a "holding pattern", but ultimately I sold 1/2 of my position and moved into fibre optics and data storage. I really didn't have the confidence that I had two years ago. My uneasy feeling came to a head just recently. Last year I purchased a desk top from Dell. I ordered it on a Thursday, and it was on my desk Monday morning. All I did was hook it up and turn it on, great service. On September 6 I ordered an Inspiron laptop. I was told that it would take 30 days to receive it. Thirty days came and went. I followed up on October 15, and was told that my order had been cancelled. I wasn't advised. It was cancelled because there was an unusual delay obtaining the Iomega zip drive. I reordered w/o the zip drive. It was delivered October 27. When I tried to set it up the screen was blank. I couldn't see to set it up. I called service after jotting down the numbers that I was told that I needed. The first thing that was asked for was a different number. The tech seemed really irritated that I didn't have the number that he needed. I had to calm him down, and ask him to tell me where the stupid number was so I could give it to him. After that he was fine. In the end the laptop was defective. They are replacing it, but I have been without my laptop for 2 months. This scenario makes me feel uncomfortable with Dell at this time. It indicates to me that maybe not all is well
in Pleasantville. Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to see if anyone else may have the same uneasy feeling.
