LinkShare Works With Dell To Expand Its Affiliate Marketing Program to Asia Pacific Region; Program Becomes LinkShare's First International Merchant Launch

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 1999--LinkShare Corporation (www.linkshare.com), the worldwide leader in affiliate marketing programs for companies doing business on the Web, announced today th at it has been selected by Dell Computer Corporation (NASDAQ: DELL), the world's leading direct computer systems company, to develop and manage an affiliate marketing program for its Asia Pacific business division, a critical growth region for Dell. The program officially launched on October 25.

This agreement expands the relationship between Dell and LinkShare that began earlier this year when the computer giant tapped LinkShare to build Dell's U.S.-based affiliate marketing program to augment the effectiveness of the company's already highly-successful online marketing efforts. Shortly after launching its successful U.S. program, Dell expanded its relationship with LinkShare to manage an affiliate program for Gigabuys.com, Dell's online superstore for software, accessories and peripherals.

"We've enjoyed a fruitful relationship with Dell since we built and began managing their first affiliate marketing program in the U.S. six months ago, and we are looking forward to helping them replicate this success in the Asia Pacific region," said Stephen Messer, chairman, CEO and founder of LinkShare.

This marks LinkShare's first international merchant launch, and the company's second entry into the global marketplace. In July, LinkShare announced a strategic licensing agreement with a leading telecommunications company to bring its affiliate marketing program to Finland, a country that boasts the highest per capita Internet usage in the world.

In managing Dell's affiliate program, LinkShare provides the tools and technology to track and verify customer referrals and transactions, establish and manage customized revenue structures, and assess the effectiveness of each affiliate relationship.
