Mr. Norm Thompson reports
Terry Holland and James Yeates have been appointed to the board of directors. Mr. Holland and Mr. Yeates join Doug Manning, Ed Hall, and chairman John Simmons on the board.
Mr. Holland, president and chief executive officer of Trimin Capital, is a chartered accountant. He has been president of Trimin Capital and its predecessor Trimin Enterprises since its inception in 1990 and was instrumental in developing and successfully executing Trimin's investment strategy. Over the last 15 years Mr. Holland has had extensive experience in the acquisition and financing of businesses in a wide variety of sectors including resource, real estate, manufacturing and technology. During this time Mr. Holland has worked closely with senior management of these businesses, providing both financial and strategic support.
Mr. Yeates is presently the chairman and CEO of Burntsand Inc., a leading e-business solutions provider. Over the past 16 years, Mr. Yeates has also been chairman and/or CEO of publicly listed Computer Innovations (over $500-million microcomputer integrator in Canada and the United Kingdom, acquired by SHL Systemhouse Inc.) and Integrated Network Services Inc. (INSINC was Canada's leading wide area network integrator until it was acquired by Sprint Canada in December, 1994). Innovative, customer-focused marketing, selling, and service strategies boosted the annual growth rates of the companies that Mr. Yeates has been directly involved in by more than 60 per cent annually. Mr. Yeates holds a masters of computer sciences degree from McGill University and an undergraduate engineering degree from the University of Vermont.
