making a little noise on little volume, maybe in reponse to conference...

the guard tandem of mad max and the glove looking good...

a surprise player this year could be Reuben Patterson, reminds me of Michael Finley...if anything, the open play will be very exciting for sonics fans...unforunately, the westen conference is loaded with talented teams, quite poswsible that a winning record may not be enough to make the playoffs.

Datalink to Demonstrate Live Storage Area Network at the
Fibre Channel Technologies Conference and Expo.

Business Wire - October 29, 1999 12:47

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 1999--At the Fibre Channel Technologies
Conference and Expo (FCTC '99) in San Jose next week, Datalink Corporation (NASDAQ:DTLK)
will demonstrate a live, switched-fabric Storage Area Network (SAN)--a pool of storage shared by
multiple servers providing high-speed, high bandwidth connections. A SAN enables more powerful
access and protection of business critical information--making it a key component for enterprise
storage management. Deployed with fibre channel, SANs deliver greater scalability, reliability,
availability, and recoverability. Datalink is at the forefront of heterogeneous SAN deployments in Open
Systems enterprise environments.

Datalink's exhibit (booth 515/513) features a live SAN illustrating LAN-free backup, heterogeneous
shared disk, heterogeneous shared tape and dynamic tape allocation--a solution that enables corporate
IT departments to achieve cost-saving, high-speed, high performance data access and storage
management capabilities. Datalink will demonstrate its Open Systems expertise by integrating
industry-leading technologies from BROCADE, Crossroads, Emulex, Hitachi Data Systems, JNI,
StorageTek, and VERITAS Software in a multi-platform environment. During exhibit hours, a Datalink
SAN expert will be available to answer questions and discuss the company's networked storage
solutions.

In addition, Datalink's Vice President of Engineering, Scott Robinson, will present a tutorial on Storage
Area Networks, entitled "SANs: Real World Solutions," to conference attendees. Scheduled from
2:00-4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4th, the tutorial presents an overview of the opportunities,
realities and challenges in deploying SANs. Attendees will learn about SAN building blocks; explore
LAN-free backup implementation; hear about an actual SAN implementation; and learn about the next
stage in SAN deployment--shared storage.

FCTC '99, held November 2-4 at the San Jose Convention Center, provides practical information on
Fibre Channel system-related design issues including storage area networks, and more. For more
information about FCTC '99, log on to www.fibreconference.com.
