CREAF did get an upgrade today from Goldman Sachs. Presumably that's at least part of the reason for the pop.

CREAF's current run...

is being fueled by several factors.

1) After many quarters of falling short of estimates, CREAF finally beat estimates (albeit severely lowered estimates). Some people thought that CREAF may post a loss last quarter so there was great relief in seeing positive results even if they was sharply down vs. last year. In other words, although not a good quarter at all (in fact one of the worse in 5 years), it was better than what most people were looking for.

2) CREAF's new video board (based on the NVDA GeForce) got a design win today.

3) Today was the first day after the earnings release that the company was allowed (by there own restrictions) to resume buying back shares.

4) CREAF's forward looking comments were bullish. With last quarters earnings out of the way, people are starting to look towards the Christmas quarter which is by far the biggest quarter of the year. CREAF usually does enjoy a nice Christmas rally.

5) A growing belief (right or wrong) that the internet (and CREAF's new internet strategy) is going to help CREAF finally grow revenue significantly. Revenue has been relatively flat for 5 years.

6) GS issued a momentum (i.e. trading) buy which helped fuel the the rally that was already under way because of (1)-(5).

Disclaimer: I have 1/3 of my original CREAF position (the other 2/3's was sold at 15) and I am looking to unload the remaining 1/3 when I feel like this rally has run its course.
