Well, I am certainly glad to hear it didn't offend you.
I am of the old school and refuse to cater to PC demands if they violate my sense of grammatical integrity.
I'll use the feminine if there is a reason, but when it's referring to either sex I believe him suffices. I did briefly consider writing him/herself but that seemed even more silly in a casual post.

They- he- she- it will just have to take any complaints regarding my impropriety to the grammar thread where we have argued about this before, and probably without resolution, though I don't remember. Until then, the protestor may just take himself/herself/ iself/themselves (I REALLY hate that one) away.
