Here is the latest news from Twin Gold...should also bode well for Copperhill with kimberlitic dykes in the area. Twin Gold Discovers Larger diamonds and Extension of TORNGAT 2 / 3 Dykes TORONTO, Nov. 3 /CNW/ - Twin Gold Corporation (TSE: TWG) is pleased to announce results from diamond counts from caustic fusion analysis from additional grab samples taken from Twin Gold's TORNGAT 2 / 3 kimberlite dykes on the Alluviaq Fjord, Ungava Bay, northern Quebec. These samples produced a macro diamond of 1.85 mm in size, which is a significant increase in the size of diamonds extracted earlier. The sample analysis, including the microdiamond extraction, selection, and description was performed by the Mineralogical Services of Lakefield Research Limited and yielded the following results: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sample ID Weight / kg Number of Diamonds ------------------------------------------------------------------------- AD 06 26.94 16 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Of the 16 diamonds, five (5) are macro diamonds with three (3) exceeding 1 mm in one dimension. All are white, with the exception of one, which is classified as off-white, and all are without exception transparent. A macrodiamond is defined as exceeding 0.5 mm in at least one dimension. The first sample from this location produced 26 diamonds with four (4) macrodiamonds from 10.864 kg bringing the sample total to 42 diamonds with nine (9) macrodiamonds from 37.804 kg of kimberlite. Dr. Bruce Jago of Lakefield Research stated: "This project is delivering consistently high quality stones at a macro- to microdiamond ratio, which is in the high range of Canadian Diamond deposits". Twin Gold's Director of Diamond Mining, Dallas Davis, is pleased with the results of a recent investigation to establish the surface trace of TORNGAT 2 / 3 kimberlite dykes. A computer enhancement technique was used on aerial photographs. This method made the surface expression of the dykes clearly visible over a distance of more than 1.5 km. Aerial-Magnetometer-work and follow-up sampling of these dykes along their entire length on the Upper Barrens will be carried out as early as possible. Twin Gold in addition to exploring the diamond prospect on the east side of the Ungava Bay in Northern Quebec is also an emerging producer of a low cost gold mining project of 1 million ounces of gold and 3.2 million ounces of silver reserves in Idaho, U.S.A. -30- For further information: Hermann Derbuch, P.Eng., Chairman, President & CEO, Tel.: (416) 777-0013, Fax: (416) 777-0014; TWIN GOLD CORPORATION, Suite 1250, 155 University Avenue, Toronto/Ontario, M5H 3B7, Tel: (416) 777-0013, Fax: (416) 777-0014, Web-site:www.twingold.com, E-mail: Info@twingold.com TWIN GO
