"An act of domestic violence occurs every 15 seconds in the United States" Gawd, E., I hate those 'such n' such happens every x seconds...' stats. In a country of 250 million people an event with a distribution of one in a million per day happens almost every six minutes. Domestic violence may be a problem but it's not a deathly 'serious as a crutch' epidemic. Full Disclosure: Happily married, 2 great kids I don't beat on, well adjusted, open-minded, sensitive, takes offense to obnoxious, self-righteous hate-mail, gun owner.
