truedog, It amazes me how much the Church has created their own law like Rabbinical law. That is taking a verse or 2 and making a law from it and then putting the Lord behind it. This was addressed in detail by the Lord in the woes to the Pharisees. But then according to these denominations that was only for those Jews. Surprise:-0 it is the concept that angers the Lord. Recently I had a very painful experience with this and have seen a little bit of why the Lord hates it. Jesus said "my yoke is easy and my burden is light" it is men that make it difficult by adding all kinds of things they think should be there. Our only job IMO is to share the Good News of the Gospel and to love others as he has loved us. That is it, beyond that I suspect human intervention.
