CHICAGO, Nov 1 (Reuters) - Implied volatility stayed firm
and turnover remained relatively high Monday in options on
Coyote Network Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:CYOE).
Implied vols in the usually quiet option stood at about 150
percent, up from the more-typical 130-percent area before last
week's firming, said a market maker in the option at the
Chicago Board Options Exchange.
"It's (implied volatility) elevated slightly but not a real
lot," he added. "It's usually a quiet little stock ...
"Coyote Network Systems has had heavy option activity for
three days, and there is no news," (but) we
haven't heard anything."
wrote Larry McMillan of
McMillan Analysis Corp. in commentary Monday morning. "Stock
volume is very positive. As mentioned last week, it was a
failed rumor in August, and it peaked at 8-1/2."
At 1149 CST/1749 GMT Monday, 490 calls and 140 puts had
changed hands on the CBOE and the American Stock Exchange
combined.
Before last week's increase in activity, which saw turnover
on Friday exceed 700 contracts, the option usually posted
volume of less than 200 contracts.
On Monday, the Nov. 5 calls dipped 1/16 to 1-1/16 at the
CBOE on interexchange volume of 420 and open interest of 1,499.
Shares of the Caifornia-based telecommunications company
were up 3/16 at 5-11/16 on Nasdaq turnover of 158,300.

Today's WSJ has an article profiling the Fiedler family and what great achiever's they are. What a joke. LOL. At least they describe CYOE as struggling telcom firm.
