NewKidCo appoints new VP... Monday Nov 1 1999 Mr. Steven Schneider reports NewKidCo International has named video game industry veteran Paul Samulski to the newly formed position of vice-president of product and creative development. In his new position, Mr. Samulski will be responsible for overseeing the concept, design and execution of console video game product for young gamers based on well-known contemporary as well as classic properties. Mr. Samulski will also assist NewKidCo with its worldwide licensing activities. "We're pleased to have somebody of Paul's experience heading up our product and creative development efforts. Mr. Samulski brings to NewKidCo over 20 years of experience in design, production and interactive entertainment. Prior to that, Mr. Samulski spent six years as VP of creative and product development for Acclaim Entertainment, one of the world's largest interactive entertainment publishers/developers. At Acclaim, Mr. Samulski was responsible for the development of some of the biggest hits in the history of the video game industry and numerous titles with such major licensors as Warner Bros., NBA, MLB & MLBPA, NFL & NFLPA, NCAA, WWF (Titan Sports), 20th Century Fox, Williams Electronics, Marvel and DC Comics.
