You must look behind the pipes to understand the true worth of Mauritania.
Warning: I rely upon litigation protection for "forward-looking" statements.
Mauritania has a stable, albiet sadly depleted, population, courtesy of the recent civil unrest and is purportedly wide open for business.
Much of the able-bodied work force should have hands'-on experience in dealing with explosives.
Stock-piled materials, such as land mines, should reduce mining costs.
There is no tradition of governmental interferance in the environment nor in human or labour rights.
No tradition of government.
No environmental regulations.
No environment
No human rights.
No record of systematic bureaucratic greed ( you can only stockpile so much dried camel dung before your riches become an embarrassment).Of course, Bre-X did bring out the carpetbaggers in Indonesia.Brgds
