George,
My take, FWIW, is that there is selective buying of issues with the strongest fundies, but the buying is on the dips only at this time. Especially so in the E & P sector. PXD has been a beneficiary today. GLBL was looking good last week.

I absolutely agree, the money is now going to tech and interest rate sensitive sectors. Surprisingly, a goodly amount of cyclicals are participating as well. Eventually, profits will be taken there and rotated into oil. IMO an OSX and XOI bottom is forming here.

Price spikes caused by temporary disruption may lead to tradeable rallies such as that recently seen in gold. These are very difficult to call. Any way my positions are established for good or ill. They have been established on the basis of the long term oil fundamentals (economically driven demand outstripping supply). I have seen nothing that even remotely challenges my worldwide economic scenario.
