You're probably more right than you think. The market is really misreading this deal. To me, that's the only explanation. CUBE should be $50 at the very least.

BTW: to CUBE, a spin-off is NOT a taxable event - period. To the individual shareholder who sells his shares after the spin-off, it gets a little more complicated because there is a "cost basis" and that will be determined by the spin-off value vs. the original value (when you bought), blah, blah, blah. This is where tax attorneys earn their living.

But look at the way the slide happened. CUBE was pushed from $44 1/2 to $42 even on very light volume. Whereeeee are the buyers?
