All. . . . Watching and waiting. . . . Cap D, Retailers and Etailers were all down sharply today. . .I think it was profit taking and some rotation out of this sector by swing traders. . .and yes, it does set up further opportunity. To all. . . . .Remember too, that despite any strength we may see in our stocks. . . the internet is not what it was last year. . . so don't expect similar moves until speculative mania sets in. . .which has not yet happened. . . though I expect it this month. Another consideration is the January effect being spread out over the month. . . it feels as though some fund managers are "easing" their way into new issues. . . .early, as opposed to jumping in with both feet. . .altogether. We are seeing some MAJOR share volume and money flow into the markets. Here is another "out-on-a-limb" prediction for you. . . . I think we will see the January Effect come and go PRIOR to December. . . .if I recall correctly, last year was Dec 6,7 and 8. . . this year, I believe it will be over by December 2 at the latest. . . but perhaps as much as a week before. . . with a possibility of 2 weeks before. . . . I cannot stress this enough. . . we need to KNOW without a doubt WHICH stocks are the CLEAR LEADERS in their division and sector. . . and know WHY. . . looking mostly at revenues, sales to earnings ratios and market capitalization. By being in the CORRECT issues, it will make it easier to "see" the fund managers moving in. . . otherwise, our watchlists are too diluted to see them moving in. . . .believe me, fund managers are not about to announce what they are buying. . . and when that money hits, it will move those issues daily for months to come. . .with no turning back. . . And don't forget that DIFFERENT sectors and issues will be the high-fliers this year. . . .and the sectors where some of the most gains could be realized include Business-2-Business, Broadband Equipment, Broadband Services and Broadband Chipmakers. Our antennae and radar needs to be keen to catch the moves. . . .I could do all the work myself and just publish what I find. . .but frankly, I am swamped right now. . .and we should all be working on making these determinations, as a team. I want to know about any potential clear leaders in these sectors receiving a major change in average daily volume. I can tell you that JDSU is a prime example of what I am talking about. . . the volume that has moved in and supports this stock on a daily basis is remarkable. We need some candidates based on due diligence from a comparative study. And as always. . . ANYONE can contribute. The more eyes we have the further we see. Rande Is
