The apostrophe has become the executioner of understanding.
I drove home today and there was a cement truck painted a lovely bright red. It was a very nice paint job. The drum was rotating, and a team logo would come into view, disappear around the edge and be replaced by a phrase neatly blocked out in college-style lettering.

Joan, I agree on logic and on the basis of all the punctuation pounded into my poor head for all those years. I'm trying to remember the MLA recommendations; it's been too long.
